Truth about Depression
What is the truth about Depression?
What is depression? Its feeling sad, hopeless, destitute, alone, lost.
But aren't we all?
To live in the world, is to live a life that is sad, hopeless, destitute, alone, lost.
The only thing people cling onto in order to save themselves from coming face to face with this reality is the worldly groups, their self and chasing pleasures.
So people use these cheap band-aids to keep reality, therefore depression away.
Becoming part of a group identity, building up your self image, and chasing empty pleasures days on end.
Some may even be successful at ignoring the reality of the world until they die.
But for some, reality catches up to them.
There will be a time where the parties, society, relationships, careers; climbed so high and held in such reverence dissappear from underneath them like a mirage.
There will be a time where the self image so carefully built; falls apart like sand. And it will, for life and its unpredictable events are like tsunamis and tornados.
There will be a time where at the end of the 7059th chase for the drop of pleasure so desperately sought after no longer tastes sweet.
Then what are you going to do?
Humans are born,
we will die
people we "love" will die
what we do will mean nothing
who we are will mean nothing
There is no meaning to life. Nothing lasts.
If the above is true and you live within the confines of your mind and the world,
is there anything but depression?
